Geocoin Club December 2008 Geocoin - Fear No Cache
Antique Gold - Special Edition
For December, the Geocoin Club decided to try a new process, creating a full wrap-around 3D coin Spun Cast in two editions: Pewter and the Antique Gold SE.
The coin was designed by Chris Mackey and, using a method known as "spin casting", the Club has produced it's first fully 3D-edged geocoin. The coin was initially sculpted in Gesso and then rubber was poured around that model to form the spin casting molds.

This is the Geocoin Club's first full wrap-around 3D spun cast geocoin. This special edition was spun cast in Antique Gold (the regular editions were spun cast in Pewter). What a gorgeous coin... I plan to keep this one in my collection and it will be available for discovery at events. 😛
