After having some success with our 10-Coin Contest last year, we have dropped 10 Different GeoGems throughout the Tampa Bay Area and we challenge you to find all ten of them and move them.
The Parks these Gems have been dropped in surround the Tampa Bay Area and the Gems MUST remain within the preserve or park they have been originally dropped in.
This is the card that is enclosed with this GeoGem.
Simply find all of the ten GeoGems, moving each gem to a new cache within the same park or preserve it was originally placed in, then post a picture on that gem's log page of yourself with the GeoGem and the cache container that you moved it into, then go for the rest of them doing the same thing with each of them. Since the gem is supposed to stay within the park or preserve where you found it, there is no reason to hold onto it for any extended period. Just pick it up and drop it off on the same visit, if you can.
The geocacher to accomplish this goal first will be considered to be the overall, First-Place winner, and will be due the rewards and accolades for such an accomplishment. As in many forms of competition though, there are also awards for Second & Third Place winners (and now, all the way through to Tenth Place).

Please note that discoveries and grabs will not merit you credit for this contest. The GeoGem must hang out for at least one day in the cache before you pick it up (no dipping, swaps or hand-offs, please). One cache-move per day, one find per day. After it has been in the cache for a day, pick it up and move it to a new one within the park or preserve it needs to stay in!
Owners reserve the right to request further photographic proof from the seeker to prove that he or she actually moved the GeoGem, if need be. Contest officially ends November 31st, 2009 but may be closed down if all 10 GeoGems do not remain in circulation within their respective parks (please carefully consider the security of your hiding locations).
We will be keeping a spreadsheet tally of all of the GeoGem's activities and when you have posted the pictures of your handiwork on all 10 of our GeoGem's weblog pages, send us a message via our profile telling us how we can deliver your winnings to you. We can mail it, meet somewhere and hand it off or hand deliver it at the next geo-meeting in the area. The choice is yours.
Hope everybody enjoys our little contest and the GeoGems stay in circulation for a while, because once the first gem disappears, this contest could very well be over...
