The High Point of New Jersey is 1803 feet which pales in comparison to Mount McKinley at 20,320 ft/6,194 m. Located in S central Alaska, in the Alaska Range, Mckinley is the highest point in N. Amer. Permanent snowfields cover more than ½ the mt. and feed numerous glaciers. Known locally as Denali which means "the great one";, Mt. McKinley was 1st scaled successfully by the Amer. explorer Hudson Stuck in 1913. It is included in Denali Natl. Park and Preserve.
