About This Item

Kermit

I must stay clear of Miss Piggy. I hear that she has a twin and they are both looking for me. Fozzy is looking for me too. He tells some good jokes so I don't mind meeting up with him.

Retrieve It from a Cache 11/9/2001 n4/c retrieved it from SOLITUDE Arizona Visit Log

What an odd place to find a frog!

It appears that Kermit was enjoying his vantage place from on high in the Solitude cache, looking out over the vast Harquahala Valley here in Arizona. He's quite convinced that this is indeed an inhospitable place for a pig (a 'certain' pig, that is), and, feeling safe, requested to resume his eastward journey...

A brand-new cache had caught his eye, and it, too, had a traveller... It's been too long since the Lonely Frog had someone to talk to, if even for just a moment...

Travel he did, 35 miles east to his new, temporary home. He chatted for a bit with Pete, his newfound friend - Pete gave him a quick ride 'round in the rocks - and then it was time to part ways. Kermit will now stand guard on Estrella Mountain, and Pete has taken the road into town.

That occursed pig won't DARE set foot into this park!, thinks Kermit... for there's far too many outdoor barbeques here, and they're all surrounded by hungry lookin' folks...

I found Kermit at the Leftovers site on a cool Tuesday morning. He is itching to go somewhere else. I'm not sure where yet but he will try to travel far, maybe even to the east coast (home of losing baseball teams). Until then...

Rumor has it that Miss Piggy (TB226) is looking for her Kermie. Kermit does NOT want to be found by Miss Piggy. If you ever have Kermit in your possession, then you are his guardian and you must hide him somewhere away from Miss Piggy. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to have Kermit and then go and find Miss Piggy.

Kermit is looking for his friend Fozzy Bear who is lost somewhere in Idaho.

I checked the first waypoints before going to the hill. I walked up to the cache twice and looked at the hill. I also looked in the trees and bushes near the two signs on the trail. Overall, I spent an hour or so out at the hill.

As I was looking on the lower trail, I looked at the hill again and saw the location. In fact, I wondered how I missed seeing it the first two times. A few minutes later, after choosing the wrong way of course, Kermit was found under the large rock painted with 666. Just in time too since we heard hooves in the distance as we were leaving.

Kermit is going to chill out for a bit before he resumes his journey.

Hey, cool, Bob....at least you had the geo-caching website up on your monitor when you took Kermie's pic....instead of something else that might be difficult to explain!! <smirk>

BR: OK Kermit, it's time to go into another cache.

K: But I don't want to go into another cache.

BR: But Kermit, you have a Travel Bug on you and you need to travel.

K: Travel yes - but not in a cache.

BR: Well I promised Jeremy that I'd put you in another cache.

K: I don't like it in the cache boxes. It's dark and I can't breath.

BR: I know, but it'll only be for a short time. I'm sure one of the other geocachers here will race to get you next.

K: I DON'T WANT TO GO IN THE BOX. I'd rather kiss Miss Piggy than go into another cache box.

BR: Whoa Kermit! You REALLY must hate it in that box. Where should I put you if not in the box?

K: How about if you place me by the numbers?

BR: OK you little devil - it's by the numbers. I just hope a geocacher looks up and finds you before Miss Piggy!

Where is Kermit? He's hiding somewhere along the route of A Grand Undertaking geocache. But where on that route? There's so many places he could be hiding. Who will find him? Will it be a geocacher or will it be Miss Piggy? Will he get to travel or will he be forced to surrender to the horrors of being the love slave of the Princess of Pork? Someone must help him! Someone must keep him from being forced into makin' bacon - or worse!
