Would love to see this guy returned to New York!
Visit the facebook page! FlagstoneFugitive and check out this cameo in Groundspeak's 20 unforgettable geocache destinations in 40 seconds. And read the news when the university finally discovered one of their bricks was missing on their webpage: Retired Purchase Brick on World Tour
A HUGE thank you to Pitt Monqui who carried this beast all the way to the UK on an amazing adventure. The pictures are awesome, so awesome that the brick has it's own place on Facebook. And also to Rankku for moving the brick to Australia! Please keep posting shots! And remember, the beast does not actually have to go in a cache, it can sit outside the box if it won't get muggled or lost.
Thank you to all you AWESOME folks who spotted me at GW! And a bigger thanks to the folks who thought to bring me there and move me on my way afterwords!!!!! Inspired by a song called “I can’t break away” by Big Pig, “…All my life I’ve wanted to fly but I don’t have the wings…” I’ve decided to take off before they get rid of me… I’m gonna travel the world and see my ancestors. I want to see castles, Cathedrals…. Oh! The Great Wall of China even! What a dream… If you can find it in your heart to hide me near some caches where I may be found and moved again…that would be great. If you take some pictures of me with some famous ancestors that would be even better! A lot to ask, yes… but won’t we have fun! Feel free to sign me and add stickers or whatever!
I was placed with many friends circa 1971 at Purchase College, State University of New York. The Master Architect, Edward Larrabee Barnes, had plans which called for “a city within the country” where almost all the buildings were built within a great open space. Times have changed. My friends and I are being retired one by one as we are no longer needed and a new design is in construction as you read this…
