Hi, I'm a Georgia State Parks Geo-Challenge Travel Gopher. My goal is to travel around the USA, from cache to cache, to raise awareness for our spectacular state parks, our cool historic sites and the new Georgia State Parks Geo-Challenge! Log your visit, and move me to a new geocache in the USA!
This Travel Gopher comes from Moccasin Creek State Park, Clarkesville GA 706-947-3194
This small, 32-acre park is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and on the shores of 2,800-acre Lake Burton. It is great place for little ones on bicycles and is easily accessible for wheelchairs. There is a fully accessible fishing pier on a trout-filled creek only for kids, senior citizens and physically challenged visitors. Tour the adjacent trout rearing station, hike on several nearby mountain trails, rent a canoe or just simply relax in this peaceful setting.
