About This Item

Emperor Penguin

This Travel Bug was originally called "Whitetail Eagle" and released by The Three Amigos.  It now belongs to GeoJudt and is being released on a new adventure!

Original Goal & Description:

My goal is to visit my cousins wherever geocachers can take me. I would like to see beautiful places in our world that birds are free to enjoy as did my ancesters. Then I want to come home to Kirn Junior High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before school is out in May of 2009. Just take me to the secretary desk or put me in a nearby cache.

My name is Whitetail Eagle. I am the Kirn Junior High Mascot. My job is to inspire the students to do their best and to always reach for the stars. My brother Baldy is taking my place as I embark on my second journey.

Nabbed the bug this afternoon. We were near by working as volunteers for the start of the women's bicycle race for the GREAT ENERGY BICYCLE FESTIVAL- a 4-day event of bike races throughout Minnesota. The racers are the top road racers from North America and are accumulating points to earn a spot on the team that will participate in the Pan American games. We plan to re-locate this travel bug in the next few weeks.
