Visit and taking some pictures from the place where Victor was killed by a hit-and-run driver (under a bridge outside Shawford Station, in Hampshire, England) and another places in relation to the TV comedy. It also wants to met others "Victor Meldrews" from all over the world.
As a BBC Radio 4 said:
The 'Meldrews' are frustrated and discontented with society. They are aged between 35-54 and are fed-up with his local political leaders and the government in general. They aren't very positive about the future, and have particular worries about public services. Another fear is their financial future, as pensions funds seem to be dwindling.
Victor Meldrew (Richard Wilson) was the main character of "One Foot in the Grave" (BBC, 1990-2000), an imaginative and hilarious sitcom with some dark humour (44 episodes), and my favourite situation comedy ever.
His long-suffering wife Margaret Meldrew is also very well played by Annette Crosbie, she unfortunately seems to be caught up in the insanity he generates. She is constantly frustrated by Victor's overreactions and unwillingness to be reasonable if he feels he has a grievance with people, which unfortunately he usually does.
Since the final episode was aired the sitcom teach me what not to do when i will retire and it's all right until i reach the end of the line.
Four years had been passed with no more Victor (afortunately, he is just a fictional characther), but some people I met sometimes makes me rememebr in him and smile due to many of them have a Meldrew inside.

I got picked on because of my hat. Either that or I'm a grumpy old man like Victor. I don't believe it!
