My 873rd cache find. I basically wanted to do this cache to get a cache as far south as I could on my geocaching map, figuring there is no way I will likely be further south in the near future in Mexico or any other state. I tried also for a cache in Nogales, right on the border, after this, but it was not to be mine. So this will have to stand. Hopefully it is pretty darn far south for the trackables that I am carrying too, to place a smiley down near the bottom of the SW USA. My cache log follows.

"Ha! I missed it the first time! Glad I went back to look again or it might have been very exposed!!

I am out camping for a few days and moving from Parker Canyon to ........who knows where (ended up at Madera Canyon!) but wanted to get a cache or two as far South in Arizona as I could to spark up my map with smilies! Well, this is it. Tried for one in Nogales and didn't work out. So thanks for the cache (and the fun) and for getting me a southerly smiley! Future cachers might want to be careful with tykes on this one. The road is fast. My dog made me nervous, even on leash, at this site. But don't skip it!! Twas fun!"

The cache was a bison tube stuck into a small log, hence the hint to look at the cache's name! I kicked it over at first when I came by it but didn't see anything and walked away. Ended up walking back over to this small log a few minutes later and saw the bison tube sticking up out of it! Boy did I feel dumb! And would have felt terrible if the cache was muggled or soaked. 😮 A nice hide, a fun find.

As I look at this tb's logs, since it has been to Hawaii, that is very much farther south, but no worries, we had a good trip.
