Current Goal

It is time for "The Dragon" to return home. Can it be done? With the help of some fantastic members of the geocaching community, we were able to get our little TB all the way to the Comox Valley, outside Vancouver. Now, the Huzzahnians want to send it back to us. Please try to keep this cute little guy moving south to southern Monterey County, California. It specifically wants to end up in the Cape KC Geobug Launch Pad II located just outside our school. It is a short trip off Highway 101.

About This Item

DSC_0577

Students in Ms. Smith's classroom are sending this bug to Mr. Miller's classroom. We would greatly appreciate photos of our bug's travels DOWN the coast and into the hands of the Treasure Seekers. We would like this bug to end up in a specific cache nearest Room 162. Thanks in advance geocachers for helping us keep geography education alive!

The citizens of Huzzah, in celebration of 25 000 visitors to their class blog, set the Dragon free to journey back to the Pirates of Rm 162, in sunny California. Fitting on our first day of snow in the Comox Valley. We endured the arduous (5 minute) trek into the deep woods. Cache was in rough (exposed) shape, so we disguised it.
Good luck on your journey, Dragon friend!

Exciting day! The students of Division 4, Grade 6 (collectively known as the Huzzahnians) retrieved the little travel bug on a beautiful November morning. Lovely walk through the woods, and now the bug is hanging out in our classroom until we decide on its future. Thanks to all who made this possible, particularly jwmiller for involving us.

I was excited to see your TB in the cache close to my hotel in Vancouver where I was staying. I happen to live across the street from the park where the final cache is. My older son went to Lazo school in Mrs. Croonen's class last year. I had lots of fun taking your dragon east to Lancaster Pennsylvania. I have been caching for about 6 months now and hit the #200 mark with a cache in Lancaster, PA. I took the dragon to see my 200th find and it was excited to be a part of it. I sat your dragon in the window of the plane to take pictures but they did not turn out. It did see Niagra Falls and Toronto on a beautiful sunny flight though. I have a 7 year old who also caches under the name Skyepilot. I have some cool coins with me right now if you want to see them in my collection. If you want me to bring them by the classroom just drop me an email.
