Wood Badge Beaver

 

This travelbug is in honor of Wood Badge Course W3-329-02-08, which was truly a life-changing experience for me and my husband. Participating during the same course was perfect for us. Wood Badge is advanced training for adult Scout leaders at all levels and is offered throughout the entire world. I would highly recommend the Wood Badge experience for any Scout leader!! I used to be a Beaver and a Staffer too (troop guide twice - for Eagles and Buffalo, Assistant Scoutmaster of Program, and Scoutmaster). I am very active in Scouting within my Pack and Troop (Pack & Troop 850 in Spring Creek, NV), my District (Overland District), and my Council (Nevada Area Council) and hope to bring the joy of Scouting to youth and adults alike.

On our way to Rapid City but made a quick stop in Wall to get the last couple of cache types I needed for the August challenge. Found this in the multicache we did - fun and lots of good swag! After the cache we headed in to see Wall Drug and get some FREE ICE WATER!!! :) Had a great Labor Day weekend out here and look forward to the next time we visit. We have the trackable back home with us now in Sioux Falls, SD and will be moving him along shortly! (PS I was a girl scout "back in the day" - does that count?!?!)
