Its origin is in Södermanland, Sweden.
Before it was left to start its journey around the world travelled to China and attended an event in Stockholm.

  • Vikingarännet går tätt förbi cachen Vid Erikssund ganska nära cachen är man tvungen att ta av sig skridskorna och springa ett par kilometer. På bilden syns förste man tillsammans med tätfordonet.
  • Vikingarännet 13/2 2011 Vid Erikssund får åkarna ta av sig skridskorna och springa (gå)ett par kilometer. Tävlingsåkarna har oftast skridskor med fastsittande sko, så dom springer ofta barfota eller i strumplästen. Härligt vi -10.

Visited this cache today during a lovely skatingtour from Hässelby to central Stockholm. There is a great skating race Vikingarännet http://vikingarannet.com/
on February 13th. They take away the snow from the ice and you can skate 80 km from Uppsala to Stockholm. It is really lovely to come to the waterfront of Stockholm a beautiful winterday. The track is ready now and there are hundred of skaters along the track. We took a lot of pictures today and I will upload them tomorrow.

  • Having lunch under Västerbron Having lunch under Västerbron, Stockholm’s longest bridge, stretching over 600 m. Stockholm Maraton is passing this bridge twice, and it is a real nightmare for many of the participants, because it is rather steep upwards to the top.
