ˈNär-lē is the last of his kind and as such he needs to be protected and shelted before there are no more..
We know of a few relatives of his that are adventuring and maybe one day he will meet with his family members to share stories and swap a few lies, however we are well aware of the fact these poor creatures are Extinct in the Wild.
Some of his relatives have been identified, and we will continue to search for more. They are, in no particular order
We are still searching for any other known survivors of the AZ Geo Mice (Peromyscus Geocachius).
RS Arizona, one of the back country cachers of Arizona, released a few little critters into our South Western Desert environment.
The quote of the creators page is:
'Made from scratch by the RS family, a limited edition of 12 Geo Mice will be released into the wild.
We'll be placing them directly into Arizona caches offering scenic views and fresh air.'
We were lucky enough to have one of these presented to us and it will become one of our collected special items. Of course, we simply could not resist making him a traveling companion.
Since this little fellow was labeled as
Last of the Last AZ Geo Mice, we felt he needed to be saved and shown just how great the world can be. Who knows, unlike
Lonesome George, it is possible we might have luck making him part of a breeding pair. Oh, can you imagine the joy if such an action were to take place? All the little squeeking and furry noses? It brings a tear to my eye to consider this as a goal.
I know, this will require many long hours traveling from cache to cache in hopes of finding another Peromyscus Geocachius but we are willing to put whatever effort is required into reaching this goal. If you see ˈNär-lē while out traveling, feel free to ask for his number and add to his stories.
While
ˈNär-lē might be extinct in the wild,
,
we will do everything we can to show him he is loved!!
