This trackable has been reported missing in the geocache, where it is registered, since more than three months.
Sometimes trackables go missing. There may be different reasons: a cacher may have mistook the trackable for a trade item, the trackable is forgotten in a geocacher's bag, or a cache with the trackable has been muggled.
Trackable owners can mark their trackables as missing. And also cache owners can mark trackables that are logged in one of their caches as missing. Both those ways are also referred to as "Mark Item Missing " and "Move item to Unknown Location".
To do so will reduce the expectations of geocache visitors, so they (and their children) do not get disappointed when a trackable no is no longer in the cache. A note from the cache owner will also give the owner of the trackable a clear notice that it probably is lost.
When a cacher finds a trackable that is marked as missing (in an Unknown Location), he/she can log it as usual, and the trackable will travel on.
If you want to mark a trackable as missing:
- Go to the trackable details page. Read the last notes indicating the state of the trackable. Add a note of your own if it is needed to understand the situation.
- Select Mark Item Missing from the drop down menu on the right hand side.
- Select Agree to confirm.
