To dash from cache to cache, racking up more miles than my (much smaller) sisters. Tsk tsk--with your help, that should be no problem at all!
Hello, cachers! So glad you found me; it was getting stuffy in there!
My name is FLAME (Meadowcreek Flaming Sword, if you must), and I am a member of that most illustrious, elegant, noble, and, well, yes, beautiful breed, the Borzoi. Also known as the Russian Wolfhound or just "that vodka dog" in certain circles (*ahem*).
I am the oldest member of this little canine pack, and yes, I do mean "little"—what other word could I use to describe the stature of my housemates, the tallest of which stands less than fourteen inches at the shoulder? At least the Italian Greyhound is svelte like me, but those Corgis! Let's just say that "stout" is quite the appropriate term.
Now, dahh-lings, let's be honest here. At my age, a gal enjoys the finer things in life…relaxing on a couch, in the air-conditioning, thank you very much, while, very rarely, I might add, acting as a lounge for a dog unfortunately not bestowed with gorgeously warming tresses the likes of mine.
But I have been on a cache-jaunt or two, in a strictly metropolitan manner, I might add. So, when my owners proposed this race of sorts, I was all ears.
Honestly, with gams like these, how could I lose?
So help me out. I do so want to show up the "littles," as they're affectionately called, and achieve the highest mileage. My owners are going to start my tag off while on summer vacation. Take some glamour shots of where you take me (and goodness knows I wouldn't say no to posing with any handsome Geo-dogs of your own you might have hanging around), and then move me to another nice, safe cache.
Thank you for the lift, dahh-lings!

Note from Flame's humble owners: If you helped Flame along in her mission and would like a little something to commemorate your participation in her journey, I'd be happy to give you one of Flame's very own pathtags. Just email me!
On a sad note, the lovely Flame who inspired this trackable passed away Feb. 21, 2012. We think it is truly mahhh-velous that her coin travels on and on, though if it makes its way back to Houston, Texas, we would like to see it again. Thank you, everyone, for helping her move on!
