Travel the world and remind us of Els once every while.
This TB is in remembrance of a friend. Just a way to think of her once more. Many caches we did together, so this seemed a nice thing to do to keep her close in our memories. She died of cancer at the age of 39. She died on the 15th of august 2011.
The name of this TB is simply the name Els, my friend, had on geocaching.com. She logged her caches with the name Mevrouw Haarband. This name was partly made up by my daughter.
She had a dreadful distaste of banana's. Our friendship began the day that she loaned me a book that she liked very much (De Wereld van Sofie by Jostein Gaarder). Is this book there is a text message in a banana. For sure... She liked this passage. With her distaste of banana's this probably seemed real horror to her. That's why this TB is a banana.
