Time to come home, Bosco!
Joefrog wants to get Bosco home to New York City
GCNRNR . He will then help us celebrate with tasty beer, and perhaps be on his way again soon!
Bosco the Beer-Swilling Bass has a goal:
to help legal-age drinkers enjoy tasty beer and collect bottlecaps along the way!
Bosco the Beer-Swilling Bass has a goal: to help legal-age beer drinkers enjoy tasty beer and collect bottlecaps along the way!
Bosco is a bottle-opening bass (Bassus Fermentus Openus), an extremely rare breed. He has been sighted in the streams near breweries and along areas with numerous bars. He desires to travel around the country (and possibly the world), and see what sorts of tasty beer he can help you enjoy along the way. He hopes to someday make it back to his owner, Joefrog.
YOU can help Bosco with his goal. He already has several bottlecaps on his chain from beer he has enjoyed; please add one of your local sudsy favorites to his collection. Bosco prefers unusual microbrews, but domestics are fine for him, too. Do try to add one that is not already on the chain! Pictures of Bosco during his travels are welcomed!
***PLEASE*** put travel bugs in secure, stable & better established caches!! When ya get there and see that a cache is pretty much right out in the open, don't put a Travel Bug in there!! Save it for the cache that's hidden very well!

Bosco enjoyed a long visit this winter with us. He traveled to Mexico for a winter vacation to sample some of the local brews and traveled to visit a new cache before returning to the US. While he was with me he sampled Bass pale Ale of course, Moose Drool Brown Ale, Corona, and Pacifico.

As soon as we got Bosco home he checked out the fridge to see what we had. He looks happy to me.

I retrieved Bosco from the cache in New Ulm, a Minnesota town famous for it's small brewery, Shell's Brewery. After I got Bosco home, I left him alone for a minute and you can see from the picture the results. I added a bottle cap from a Grain Belt Premium beer before Shell's Brewery bought the recipe. I'll place it in another cache in the next day or two.
Thanks for the Bug, tomslusher

My son and I found Bosco next to Rice Lake in Maple Grove, MN. He was longing to hop in the lake and swim away but I thought he'd make a good excuse to drink a Leine's. Hmmmm where will he turn up next? madworldmatt

I have been fishing for a TB since I started geocaching. I like bass fishing too. What luck! Good thing I catch and release. Bosco had been on a 15 day wagon ride when I found him and looks like he is in DT's. I brought him home to ND. We will make a trip to Fargo for this part of the mission and release him in the land of 10,000 lakes. Minneapolis I hope. There should be some interesting microbrews there.
