About This Item

Austin's Joke Book Travel Bug

This travel bug has reached its destination and has arrived in the hands of Austin, who enjoyed picking it up (they made a family day of it) immensely! PLEASE DO NOT PICK UP THIS TRAVEL BUG!!!

This travel bug is now in a prime spot to be picked up by its intended new owner! It has travelled over 6,300 miles to reach him, and took about 3 years to get there, but it's finally within a few miles of Austin, ready to deliver laughs and fun from many folks all across America!

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS BUG'S JOURNEY! We'll keep you posted about how it all turns out!

I'm sending this waterproof joke book to my 6 year old nephew Austin, who currently lives near Trenton, Missouri, but anywhere near Kansas City is fine (his grandmother geocacher bondradine geocaches near KC).

When you get this bug, feel free to take a week or so to read through the jokes and then add one to it. Then, place it in a cache that is at least 500 feet closer to its target destination.

You can take up to a full page if you need to, but please no long "Shaggy Dog" stories. Short, funny, kid-appropriate jokes only. One-liners or two-liners are fine. Dumb-silly jokes are ok. Austin is almost 7 years old now; sick ("dead baby" jokes for example), racist, or "adult" humor jokes are inappropriate; please don't include them. If you don't know if a joke is appropriate, contact me and ask before you write it in the book. Sign your joke with your geocaching username and date it, like so:

Q: "How do you catch a unique rabbit?"
A: "Unique up on it!"

Lilla22: I don't really know! I think it was so clearly marked, and it didn't have a big value outside of its intended receipt. Really, I think it was just luck that got it to its destination.

Hello, I have an idea of making a Travel Bug with a note book for people to draw a drawing or make a note. I searched to look for other people’s experience and see you already doing something similar. What should I do to avoid it get lost? Thanks for your advice.

Not quite to Cameron but definitely closer. Now located at a easy access, easy to locate cache. Hope it gets to Austin soon. 🙂

Found it. I will have to hang onto it for a week. I am traveling out to Massecusetts and I don't want it to get that far from Kansas City. I will try to get it closer.
