About This Item

Prince Edward Island is one of four Atlantic provinces located on Canada's east coast.   The island is crescent-shaped and resembles a cradle, thus the Mi'kmaq name of Abegweit, which means 'the land cradle of the waves'......The green pastoral landscape and water views make our Island way of life unique.    They also allow us to produce some of the tastiest food experiences found globally.   And our miles of sandy beaches are some of the best in the world.      .........    Roam our colorful countryside, stroll along the beaches, golf at a top rated course, participate in a kitchen ceilidh, browse through our many craft shops and enjoy an authentic PEI experience"    (www.tourismpei.com)

THE CONFEDERATION TRAIL is one of the world's longest geocaching 'Power Trails".     Over 1600 caches are placed along the 400 kilometers (approx 250 miles) of the trail - a decommissioned railway bed which provides excellent walking and biking opportunities for all to enjoy. year round.    There are in excess of 7000 caches hidden throughout Prince Edward Island's trails and countryside.
