Current Goal

This little travel bug wants to visit Lucky Kid's 82-year-old Great Grandma before Valentine's Day, 2004.

Great Grandma lives on an island in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. We would like to send her this special "Be Mine Travel Bug" along with our love!

About This Item

Lucky Kid's Great Grandma (& Friend)

Please help this "Be Mine, Great Grandma" Travel Bug reach Lucky Kid's Great Grandma for her 83rd Valentine's Day.

Will you help send it along?

This bug began in San Diego, California and is heading west to Great Grandma's. Our goal is the Susquehanna River in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Her house is near a cache called, "Tombstone lot Bug Hotel" (GCG11V) We want the bug to reach that cache.
We would like to get the Travel Bug to her in time for Valentine's Day.

This little guy would also love to meet lots of friends and have his picture taken along the way!

Hi folks!

Once again, we are delighted that your TB managed to get all the way to its destination! We also realized this morning that we had a picture that didn't get posted when we originally posted our find, which is unusual since we love posting pics of the travel bugs we find. So hopefully you are still interested in seeing it! We think both Great Gramma and great grandson are very lucky people! Happy Valentine's to all!

Today Lucky Kid's Great Grandma was graciously presented with her "Be Mine" travel bug! After a journey of 3000 miles, passed along by 10 different geocachers, it has reached its final destination.

We thank all our Geocaching friends who helped along the way - especialy Retphoto, who was instrumental in getting this bug to Great Grandma! We are touched at the wonderful wishes sent along as it journeyed eastward ---thanks so much. This will be a wonderful memory for Lucky Kid as well as for Great Grandma! Here's some photos of the big presentation!

Ok....trip is nearly Complete. I will call for Great Grandmother tomorrow, and see when is a good time to present the travel bug to her. I found the information sheet, and a GREETings sheet with the bug. I laminated them together and will present it also. To see a copy of the Greetings look at http://www.retphoto.com/geocache/beminea.jpg

I added the names to the Avatars, but my handwritting is atrocious, and I also mis-spelled Briansnat's name(if that is HIS avatar)

AT this Time I wish to Thank EVERYONE who had a Hand in the movement of this TB.(great sewing job Scoobydoooer)

Thank You!!!

I placed the TB into this cache. I had to take the TB out of the poly bag to place it into the cache container. The person who gets this TB, please take the TB out of the container, and take the poly bag with the two paper enclosures that belong to the TB.

There is a lot of noise about this TB. There is a bib imperative to get this TB to the PA area. I got a email from Peconic Bay Sailors asking if I can get this TB down to the PA area. They found out from CCCooperAgency that I travel to the Lancaster / Lebanon PA quite frequently.

I have a tentative appointment set fro this Tuesday in the Lebanon area. I will bring the TB with me.

  • TB at cache site This is the TB that I picked up by request. I will try and get it down to the Lebanon, PA area early this week.
