Ha haaaar me Hearties, this Pirate Tag wants to travel up and down the coast, pillaging coastal towns and making off with their treasure and wenches.
(Or just visit caches along the coast and perhaps sail the seven seas).
Born on the banks of the St George's River in Sydney's South, the young Alphonse MiHearties was abandoned in the Mangroves to fend for himself. A passing fresh-water crocodile took pity on the little tyke and admired how his leaking nappy attracted other fish. Raised in the crocodiles lair, Alphonse soon took to raiding local nests on the back of his crocodile family and eating the eggs; shell and all (yes, he was tough and badly educated in food preparation).
Once big enough to climb, Alphonse took to hiding in the leaves of the Mangroves and attacking passing Kayakers. Geocaches hidden in the trees were like a honey-pot for him. (You can't log a DNF from the belly of a pirate. Ever notice how noone finishes the multicaches on the river? Well now you know).
Before long he was a grown boy and the river was too small for him. One dark day he slaughtered his Crocodile family and ate them over a bonfire made from the decking of the old Oyster Farms. Spearing a passing Jetskier with a sharpened Mangrove stick he commandeered his vessel and headed out to the ocean.
Pretending to be in trouble at sea he was picked up by the unsuspecting Norwegian captain of a container ship heading back to China from Botany Bay. The details of what followed are to gruesome for this Cache, but with a few surviving members of the crew (who were keen to share the bounty) he nominated himself Captain MiHearties and headed for Somalia. Upon discovering that his ship was completely full of containers of Recycled toilet paper he sold it online to an Australia Coal Magnate and swam to land.
Tales of his exploits on the coast of Somalia have been well covered in the press. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
This trackable keeps the legend alive and would like to travel up and down the coast in caches close to the sea (or estuaries where unwitting Kayakers can be Cannabilised).
This is a small silver travel tag with a pirate on it.
