This Travel Bug is a depiction of a Knabstrupper, an ancient Danish breed spotted horse, that is related to the American Appaloosa. The Knabstrupper originated in prehistoric Spain. My filly "Buttons" was a few spot leopard Appaloosa that closely resembles the Knabstrupper. My goal for this little spotted horse Travel Bug ("Buttons Too") is to travel to Denmark, Spain, Missolula, Montana where Buttons parents were bred; to Moscow, Idaho, where the Nez Perce Indians refined the Appaloosa breed and then on to any cache near a Knabstrupper or Appaloosa horse farm. "Buttons Too" is not camera shy, so please take pictures of her travels and post them. Thank you!
This Travel Bug is a little 4" x 3" hard plastic statuette depiction of a Knabstrupper white horse with black spots. I have also attached a laminated picture of my Appaloosa filly "Buttons" with an explantion of the history of the Knabstrupper on the back complete with "The Travel Bug" dog tag.
