To get back to Geneva, New York for the annual Musselman Triathlon on July 12-14, 2016 with lots of pictures and stories to tell about my travels!
Each year in July hundreds of athletes come to Geneva, New York for the annual Musselman Triathlon. This year, in recognition of of their 10th anniversary, Musselman has released 48 Mussels into the wild, one to each state that has been represented at Musselman over the years. The hope is that each Mussel will travel along, get pictures along its travels, and get back to Geneva for a great Mussel reunion! This little guy is heading from South Bend, Indiana and represents Indiana in the "Great Mussel Race." I know he's awesome, but please don't keep him! Although his original goal was to get back to Geneva in time for the race in 2013, he seems to have lost his way! Help him get back to Geneva in time for the triathlon July 12-14, 2016! Sorry as this was my first TB I had a few things to learn. I was not able to leave him in the TB log so I kept him till I figured out what I did wrong. Unfortunately he was lost in my car and I just found him. I will be sending him on his way soon!! Hopefully he can make it still just a little late!!!

(Too bad. THe Mussel did not make it to the race in Geneva, NY. Looks like it stalled somewhere in Illinois. I emailed the last people who had it and got no response. I assume it has been muggled or stolen. If you come across it, please send it on his way! Maybe he can make it to next year's race.)

Grabbed from mammoth cave area. We will be in Chicago next week so decided to move him back North. Hopefully someone else will be able to get him the rest of the way!

ON it's way! First stop is right here in South Bend, Indiana. Grabbed a few shots before it left. The cache is located fairly close to Notre Dame University. I figured it made perfect since to release this near water, so I put it here on the bank of the St. Joseph River. Hopefully this makes it to Geneva (and so do I) by triathlon time!
