I want to sail around the world, see a lot of sailing boats and take part in sailing races. Pictures of sea, sailing and especially wooden boats are appreciated.

About This Item

TB S/Y Nereidi

The mother of is TB is the actual S/Y Nereidi. She is a wooden boat model MP-27 which was built in 1974 in Rauma, Finland. She lives in the Yacht Club of Turku (place B18) in the beautiful island of Ruissalo. You may log this TB also if you find the tracking number somewhere onboard the real S/Y Nereidi. In this case, use the "discovered" option.
Nereidi enjoys racing, although she is very slow. For Nereidi, the journey is much more important than reaching the destination. Bon Voyage!

Note: The original TB was lost at the stormy waters of England. This is a similar copy.

Travelled a day in the real S/Y Nereidi, she took us (me, the owner, mikaa and Luuppis) from Ruissalo to Seili to fetch the cache GC1R4WT. The weather was great (sunny and bit windy), we found the cache and had a great time! I also had the possibility to "drive" the boat for a while and despite of that, she still floats. Quite a luck. 😛 Thanks for taking us there, nice to visit the boat!

Oli kaunis päivä ja oltiin matkalla Nauvon kirkonkylälle kun bongattiin kaunis S/Y Nereidi iloisine sailorineen Sandholmenin lähistöllä melkeinpä Nauvon ja Paraisten rajalla, saatin kippari Suurnesulta lupa tutkia bogsprööti hieman tarkemmin josta löytyi Nereidin salainen tunnus. Toivottavasti saitte hieman enemmän tuulta purjeisiin loppumatkaa varten 😁

The TB just boarded S/Y Gwarek taking part in the Tall Ship Races 2009. We'll head for Klaipeda in the second regatta leg. By the way: Gwarek is a wooden yacht 🙂 pictures will follow!
