When I was a kid, I loved reading ghost stories, monster books, and other spooky tales. An Alabama author named Kathryn Tucker Windham wrote several of my favorite books, compiling "true stories" and legends of ghosts in Alabama and other Southern states. Several of these sites are near my hometown, and a couple of other cachers and I decided to team up to create a "haunted tour" of Tuscaloosa. This geocoin is a celebration of that event, and will be placed in one of those caches!
