Current Goal

This geocoin's mission is to travel around the world
and to get the people who find and discover it
to exchange postcards with me.

About This Item

OCG-Obsessed Caching Group Geocoin

This geocoin was put out by a group of 8 obsessed geocachers (Obsessed Caching Group) who are also part of our larger local Sacrameto, California USA geocaching group, the River City Geocaching (and Dining) Society (RCGDS).

Geocaching does not have to be only about geocaching but it can also be about social connections. Which I find to be an equally important part of this activity. So I thought using this geocoin to reach out and contact other geocachers around the world would be a fine idea.

If you log this geocoin please send me a postcard from where you live.

Send it to:
Species5618
PO Box 95
Cool, Ca 95614 USA

If you send me a return address (on the postcard or send it to me in email) I will send you a postcard from where I live.

Please include:
Your geocaching name and what it means and/or how you got it.
Where you live.
Which geocoin you found. (Tracking or reference number is OK)
Where you found the geocoin. (GCxxxx waypoint or name would be fine)
Anything else that you would like to tell me.

Also if you can give me the approximate coordinates of where the picture on the card was taken.
So I can look it up on a map and see where in the world you live.
Anywhere nearby would be fine I just want an idea where you are from.

While looking for postcards to send to you, I found several with cache locations in the picture!
So if send me a postcard that has a geocache location in it,
please mark it in the picture and give me the waypoint number (GCxxxx) of the cache.
Keep an eye out you may find a card with a geocache in it too. I was surprised how many I found.

Please do not hang on to this geocoin for a long time and please place it in high traffic caches.
So it doesn't just sit for a long period of time.
It needs to keep moving. Thank you

I am looking forward to making your acquaintance,
Species5618

P.S. I like looking at the stamps too.
So pick a pretty one if you have any.
