238 years ago, our founding fathers set forth a new nation. That location where it all began was in Philadelphia, PA. The town in which I was born. Having been born there, I am connected in so many ways to that great city. The cheese steak, the Declaration of Independence, the proximity to Valley Forge. What a great area of of nation due to the founding and the history there.
The goal of this travel bug and the flag that is on this travel bug is to travel from Arizona to the city where it all began. I and the rest of its great citizens, like the flag that is on this travel bug, is the reason we are a great nation. One that has fought many foes and continued to be the greatest nation on this Earth.
Although the path to our colonies becoming a great nation was long and troubled, I see the path from Arizona back to my home town long and tedious. This like the long journey that took us to war and then to become a great nation, we continually move forward. I expect this travel bug to move forward towards that great city. This travel bug is the American Flag. A great flag attached to a wrist band with the words "Prescott 19 Fallen Heros." This is dedicated to the Granite Mountain Hotshots who passed away just 1 short year ago. Some of these brave hotshots I worked with and some I attended classes with. I hope that both make it to the great city of Philadelphia as quick as possible. Thanks.
