About This Item

LOCUTUS of BORG (a.k.a. Captian Picard)

HISTORY of LOCUTUS:

Stardate 0921.01: While on patrol over Utah the USS Enterprise receives information from Starfleet that the "BORGCOLLECTIVE" is active in sector 001. Stardate 0922.01: Despite the danger of the BORG presence and the continued warnings of Worf and Riker, Picard insisted on investigating unusual ancient archaeological markings on a cliff-face in the backcountry of remote Utah(he claims there may be a common connection in the remote past for all life in the Galaxy?). Shortly after beaming down Picard was swiftly captured and asymilated (again?) by the BORG. Their CUBE then quickly vanished into a transwarp conduit!! The eddies from the closing of the conduit trigered some hibernating circuitry left by the unusual alien known simply as--the Traveler. This alien circuitry then hurled the Enterprise (at warp 75!) hundreds of light-years (in a nano-second!) to the vacinity of an area of NULL space near Galorndon Core (actually somewhere in California, USA). We here at Starfleet command fear that the powerfull gravimetric turbulance around that area of NULL space coupled with the loss and confusion of the ships captian may have pulled the Enterprise inside---but we will have to confirm this at a later date.

What we do know (from a subspace bouy launched just before the Enterprise vanished) is that Riker is frusterated and now in command of the Enterprise.

Worf is upset and continues to pound his fist on the console. Troi is in tears and eating large ammounts of chocolate in 10-forward. LaForge and young Crusher are feverishly trying to get the engines back online. Dr. Crusher is sleeping. Data is indifferent--but he has a plan.

Stardate 0928.01: Although Picard was physically re-asimilated into LOCUTUS, his mental faculties are as sharp as ever. In a routing battle he managed to overthrow and destroy his colonial captors by planting a swarm of specially engineered nanites into their systems. These nanites were stored in a special sub-cutaneous capsule that Data, Geordi and Dr. Crusher had developed after his last Borg encounter. Once the nanites were released by the Borg's scanning beams they self-replicated exponentially causing the Borg's power systems to overload while simultaneously beaming Picard off the cube to safety. Picard/Locutus then materialized sealed inside a plastic tube, crammed in a crevace in a rock in the middle of nowhere in the Appalachian Mountains where he began his Trek home to the Enterprise.

Stardate 0929.01:--Shortly therafter he was rescued by the elusive and extremely foul smelling intergalactic trader known as "CanisRufus." Rufus planned to use Locutus as a remote power source and slave on his aging but overpowered freighter (the Red Wolf) but he quickly found that this was no ordinary Borg and quickly grew tired of his seemingly deranged actions.

Stardate 01012.01: Canis Rufus only made it as far as the west Texas Hillcountry where he quickly (and gladly) deposited Locutus into another alcove (Geocache)...for more info on his travels read the entire story on his old archived Geocaching.com page at waypoint:GC2003.

I made a long journey to The Netherlands in August in a very inferior early millennium-vintage transporter. Since then, I have been relegated to a dark dusty corner. Soon I hope to move. Perhaps today will be my day!

Left a traveling cache "Loctus of Borg" we picked up back east on an overlook in Pagasoa Srings, CO. We had brought "The Borg" home to NM with us but could not find a cache large enough for him, besides he did not like the aliens we have in NM. May he travel wide and far if the smell of the Hot Springs below dont get him first!!
