This travel bug, a beautiful strand of unique pearls, desires to travel to locales where such pearls are harvested and enjoyed. There are many famous places in such interesting locations like Scotland, Augusta, GA, and Carmel, CA. There is probably one near you!
These kinds of cultured pearls are found throughout the world. Unlike their open-water cousins, these pearls are found primarily in fresh-water bodies, often near preserves of lush, green grass.
A unique culture has grown up around the use and display of these gems. Often men of considerable wealth and social standing will debase themselves in an attempt to retrieve such pearls from shallow pools along their native habitat.
I created this particular strand from my own collection. Please take a photograph of yourself wearing them at a habitat near your home. Take care that they do not mingle with their wild cousins, lest they attempt to rejoin them.
If you are not aware of the customs in the area of their habitat, you should be prepared. Often the game warden will dismiss you if you are not properly attired and respectful of the solemn nature of the preserve. In order to look natural, I suggest that you wear knee-length shorts, bright argyle socks that go up to the top of the calf, a collared "polo-style" shirt, and a hat made from a deceased animal. This will allow you to move about unhindered as if you were part of the local ecosystem.
