Maple Bear is a Stargate Fan and now wants to go to one of the Stargate Caches in Ireland (GCQ0A8), Switzerland (GCQP9Q), Norway (GCRY6J) or others. His mission, once arrived at the Stargate Cache, is to travel to StarGate P43079 (GC18ERP).
Here's a history of Maple Bear's missions to date:
Mission 1 - go to Australia, attempted as a newbie travel bug and abandoned for easier missions. After a year and a half on the road the mission was SUCCESSFUL - ACCOMPLISHED NOVEMBER 2003.
Mission 2 - go to Vancouver to visit Constable Willis, ABORTED, Constable Willis transferred to Toronto when travel bug was only a few hundred kilometres away.
Mission 3 - go to Geojay's cache in San Diego, SEMI-SUCCESSFUL, Geojays never realized bear was in cache so didn't pick him up.
Mission 4 - have Maple Bear's picture taken in front of Central College, Pella Iowa SUCCESSFUL- ACCOMPLISHED OCT 2003.
Mission 5 - Go to Arlington Texas to visit a friend from Central College. - ABORTED, Maple Bear received an offer to go to Australia and has decided that that's the place to go.
Mission 6 - Travel Australia and have photo taken with koala bear. - SUCCESSFUL - ACCOMPLISHED JAN 8, 2004.
Mission 7 - Go to New Zealand. - ABORTED - Maple Bear was offered a trip to England and couldn't pass it up.
Mission 8 - Have picture taken somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales, preferably somewhere that mentions James Herriott - SUCCESSFUL - ACCOMPLISHED JULY 1, 2008
Mission 9 - Meet the Loch Ness Monster and see other sights along the way. TEMPORARILY ABORTED as he decides to visit more of Europe
Mission 10 - Visit an Oktoberfest festival and other sights in Germany. SUCCESSFUL - ACCOMPLISHED OCT 08
Mission 11 - Have photos taken in front of castles and the Alps and other beautiful scenery. SUCCESSFUL - ACCOMPLISHED Nov 08
Mission 12 - To see the Market Square in Brussels at Christmas. ABORTED - decided to spend Christmas in Germany
Mission 13 - try for a successful Mission 9 and see the Loch Ness Monster, but along the way see other scenic sights of Europe ABORTED - he wants to come home for a bit and unpack
Mission 14 - get to a Stargate cache to be transported home
