Current Goal

Brandon's Aunt Robin lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. Aunt Robin is a fifth grade teacher and Brandon wants his bolt to eventually get to her. She will then have something to show her students and introduce them to Geocaching.

About This Item

Brandon and his bolt (image created by sparrowhawk

This Bolt was found in Grampa Carrigan's cache "Pulpit Rock." Brandon drilled a hole and turned it into a travel bug. Brandon would like all who find his bolt to log any stories, pictures and adventures that might help his Aunt Robin educate her fifth grade students on Geocaching. ThePetersPack dropped this bug in The "Dead Zone" right next to Brandon's school. This is a great cache and the first cache ThePetersPack completed. We would like Brandon's Bolt to slowly make its way to Scottsdale (no airplanes please) as to encounter many, many fellow Geocachers.

Hoping that going a little North East to drop south would help him out.

I felt badly about taking this TB to Pennsylvania so I flew back across the country this weekend to drop it off in San Diego, California.

Ooooppsss!!!!!
I took this bug from Nevada and now I am back in Pennsylvania! 🤕 I did not know it's goal when I picked it up!

I will print up a goal sheet for this TB so that other's don't make the same mistake as I did. Maybe it can make it back across the country speedily!

What am I nuts! No I'm a bolt. I'm not supposed to fly.. ok back to the serious business of meeting cachers back where I started from on the east coast.

  • What am I nuts?? Hi Aunt Robin!!! Let me show off and practice my Californian... "I'll be BAck!"
  • So close but yet so far Today the bolt had the opportunity to educate airport security at Oakland International airport as to what a travel bug is. They wished him well on his journey!

Brandon's bolt has been working hard traveling without air support so we decided it needed a vacation about as much as we did. He was a good traveling companion. All that salt water got the bolt quivering with thoughts of corrosion so we gave him a towel to dry off with and moved on.
