About This Item

New Bean

The inspiration for this travel bug is "The Bean" song. One of our sons favorite Cub Scout campfire songs. It goes like this.....

My dog Coffee loves to roam,
One day Coffee left his home,
He came back nice and clean,
Where oh where has coffee bean......

Each time you sing the song you change the name of the dog so you end up with the dog being named Green, Jelly, Navy ect.

It will be fun to see the places our travel bug has "bean" So photos would be great! Thanks

Grabbed the bean, he's looking a bit beat up, but I'll try to spruce him up and get back on the road.

The "Bean" got trapped in the sub-arctic winter. There has been no activity in Killer Rabbit II (N56d 42.676m, W111d 27.674m), my nearest cache, since December 2, 2004. Will send the Bean south to get on the road before Spring.

Beautiful warm, sunny day in the Grand Canyon. It's a great hike and the falls are well worth the effort. The "Bean" is getting a little worse for the wear. He got "snapped" in two while riding out of the canyon in my pack being hauled out by a mule.

If he thought the Grand Canyon was 'cool' he'll find northern Alberta down right 'cold.' He'll spend some time in the northern Boreal forest and maybe view the Aurora Borealis (northern lights).

  • Supai Trail Diversion
  • Havasu Falls One of the four spectacular water falls along Cataract Creek in the Gran Canyon.
