Current Goal

To boldly fly where all Ospreys have flown before. This travel bug was born from this thread: (visit link) We've had a lot of fun with it, and Little Dude has now been gone almost a year. Please take this travel bug to caches near Osprey nests, near where Ospreys fly, salt marshes, up rivers, where ever Ospreys might find tasty fishies to eat. Please, do not take this travel bug to events. It's afraid of crowds. They scare away the Ospreys.

About This Item

Ozzie the Osprey Love doll was a blue plushy teddy bear that was stolen, from somewhere, by the ospreys and placed in their nest. When I saw it on the Osprey cam at the Audubon site, I first thought "hmmmmm, is someone missing a TB?" And that thread was born. We watched Little Dude grow up, learn to fish, and fly away. We watched as Hurricane Fernando blew the blue bear out of the nest and we paddled out and actually looked for it. That day is posted in photos on this cache page: (visit link)
1Naturemom brought this angel bear with her in case we didn't find Ozzie and Lo! The Spirit Of Ozzie the Osprey Love Doll is born! Bon Voyage S.P.O.O.L.D.!

Remember this day? The day we tried to rescue the original Ozzie? http://graphixoutpost.com/images/OZZYRescueAnimV2.gif

Poor, poor Ozzie, he's missing all of Summertime cooped up in a backpack, or on a car floor somewhere. Birds gotta fly, birds gotta sing, birds gotta migrate. Please release Ozzie into another cache soon.
Somewhere, there's a band playing Freebird in the background...... and someone else is requesting "Please Release Me, Let Me Go"

What a cute TB. It will go West with me next week. I think he will like the lakes and the rivers in Mtn. Home AR. Still not sure which cache he will go into yet. Maybe one by the White River!
