Current Goal

Hi! I am lonely for the company of my own kind! I would love to visit zoos all over the world. Please take me to a zoo to visit before you place me in another cache. Then, please tell about the zoo in your drop log. If you take a photo of me for the log, that would be wonderful!

About This Item

Gotta re-step that mast before I take off

Wikipedia says: "The American physician and missionary Thomas Staughton Savage first described the Western Gorilla (he called it Troglodytes gorilla) in 1847 from specimens obtained in Liberia. The name derived from the Gorillai, a 'tribe of hairy women,' described by Hanno the Navigator, a Carthaginian navigator and possible visitor (circa 480 BCE) to the area that later became Sierra Leone."

"Gorilla My Dreams" is also a Warner Bros short starring Bugs Bunny. This travel bug is in no way related to Bugs Bunny or Warner Brothers in spite of the seeming similarity of name ("bug/bugs" and "Gorilla My Dreams").

This particular gorilla has been deprived too long of the company of other gorillas.

Some friends who don't cache much anymore gave us this to move along for them. We will place when we can. Please don't bug us with e-mails, we had a TB lay dormant for a year and we didn't bug them once about it. We'll try to move along soon.

Howdy! On our way to the TOEA Workshop (TX Outdoor Education Assoc.) where I will be presenting a session on geocaching! Stopped by wondering if Friday morning was a bad time to look with school in session and all, but no problem! Cache far enough away from the general population to make this a quick P&G and off we go to Leakey, TX! TFTC!
