How do Trackable Items work?

Recently Spotted: In Butterfield Pond Cache

Current GOAL: This bug is in Race Through America (RTA) travel bug race that started on May 1, 2004. It wants to visit all 50 states.

About this item:
"TALK TO ME GOOSE!" This TB is a (Corgi) F-14 Tomcat like the ones flown in the movie, Top Gun. Race Rules Because this is a REALLY long race, the rules are simple: Racers may not be mailed, shipped, transported, etc between cachers or muggles after the race starts, but must be carried from cache to cache by cachers. Racers can be placed multiple times by the same cacher. The race started 1 May 2004 with the race-registered bugs where ever they were. It will be over 4 July 2005, or when all the racers visit the 50 states, which ever comes first. The bugs can be in action before the beginning of the race, but the progress tracking will be from where ever the racers are at the beginning of the race. Disputes will be discussed in geocaching the race thread in the geocaching.com Travel Bug Forum. The racers may attach information tags, cinder blocks, etc to their bugs. Instruction tags are encouraged. Racers are entered into the race by sending an email to RaceAmerica through the RaceAmerica profile on the geocaching web site or by posting to the forum thread. The email must have the reference number (TBxxxx) of the bug or a link to it, so it can be identified. Bugs with the tracking number visible on their web pages will be disqualified if the content is not modified.

Another quick drop and grab, but this TBug gets a quick stop in Montana. Only 24 hours ago I was in Portland visiting the plaque and now we are in Montana. It is only appropriate for a fighter plane to fly around like this isn't it! Now we will depart for a longer journey to the other side of the country. It is a journey that take me and the TBug though a lot. Thanks Snoogy! Cool TBug.

HA! Look out below is a great name for a cache for this travel bug, isn't it! Too funny. It was a quick fly by though, and off to Montana we go.
