About This Item

The ShutterBug

The ShutterBug is a disposable camera that started out at The Pringle Tree Cache in Buckhannon, West Virginia, USA. Its mission is to travel about collecting pictures of extraordinary trees. I leave it to the cacher with the camera to define extraordinary for himself or herself, and seek artistic shots of distinctive trees, or trees in singular settings, with or without people.

When the camera's full, email me and I'll send you a stamped envelope for its return, and a replacement camera to place in a new cache. I'll get the old one developed and post the pictures on the web, make sure you note the exposure numbers you used in your log.

Just had to see what this TB is all about. About 5 pictures left to take. Picture 6 is of a small spruce tree. Dug it out of a ditch in Northern Manitoba in 2003 and planted in my back yard in Winnipeg. Took it with me when we moved to Regina in 2005 and planted it in my flower bed. Will need to move it again as it is not in a good location. We'll just call it "the traveling Christmas tree".

The geopups and I were wandering around here stretching the legs on the way home from the lake and this bug caught our eyes. I'll bring it west tomorrow when I head to Regina.
