Todie's Wild Ride: Please Pay Attention!

This coin is being sent out to raise awareness of motorcycles on the road!

Motorcycles have the same rights that cars do, but are much more vulnerable.

Please pay attention to your surroundings when driving! Obey the speed limit, follow traffic lights and signs, and signal when changing lanes! All it takes is running a stop sign or changing lanes at the last minute, and it's game over.

Things have become second nature to most drivers, and they no longer pay attention to every detail as if they were taking the driving test. Motorcyclists have no such luxury. They have to drive defensively and pay attention every second in order to stay safe!

In 2006, 4,810 motorcyclists were killed. This number could be greatly reduced if motorists would pay more attention and realize that motorcycles are on the road!

In loving memory of Todie Phillips! Tod, 1/3 of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident when a motorist pulled into his lane unexpectedly. Tod (as we have surmised) likely locked his brakes and skidded sideways until he perceived he was safe to disengage the brake and resume. Unfortunately, when in a skid, bikes usually tend to skip if the brake is released (as I learned at the funeral services). Tod likely released the brake (just a speculation), the bike jumped and then grabbed before flipping several times...Tod rode it to the end! This accident was needless, the driver merely needed look and would have seen Tod there. This usually happens because of people being in a hurry. PLEASE take your time and help us arrive safely! PLEASE keep this coin moving to help spread the word of bike awareness!!
