Current Goal

Melvin Schmedlapp is a name used in hypothetical situations. As in, "A man named Melvin Schmedlapp walks into a bar." That's more interesting than "A man named John Doe walks into a bar," right?

But I got to thinking, who is this Melvin Schmedlapp? What does he look like? I have some vague idea, but no definite image. And that notion might be wrong. It would be interesting to see what other people think.

So, Bandycam to the rescue. With this camera, take one photo of someone you think might be named Melvin Schmedlapp. (Whether you confirm it with the person you photograph is up to you.) I suspect you could find a good candidate at your closest mall or Walmart.
