To travel as far as possible while spreading awareness for motorcycle/bicycle safety along the way.
Please note: Tennesse Jed was kind enough to share this coin with me. So I am going to share the coin with everyone to spread an important message
This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.
Not being a motorcyclist myself, I can only imagine the dangers that they face everyday. Part of the problem is that vehicle drivers (car, truck) don't fully understand the consequences of their actions on the road with regards to motorcycles. Cars and trucks share the road everyday with motorcyclist, bicyclist and pedestrian, yet seem to think that they deserve to be on the road above the others.
As part of this coins journey, I would like to collect different tips for drivers to be more aware of motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians. Feel free to add any tips you wish to the logs to share with others.
I will start off: Beware of children on bicycles. Often they will turn out into traffic unexpectedly as they get used to handling a bicycle.
For some additional reading, I have found a couple of websites to share with you regarding driving safely around motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians.

Please take care out there. Someones life may depend on it.
Information about this coin: The coordinates on the coin are for the approximate location for the Roswell Crash. Nobody knows the exact location of the crash(well nobody at least that will talk about it :)).
