Current Goal

I want to meet cachers with strong backs willing to move me. One day I hope to meet my long-lost brother, Milestone Marker I.

About This Item

Rescued from the side of a stream, Miles Stone has set me free to meet other cachers. You'll need to come prepared to haul me away because I'm four feet tall and weigh in at a hefty 197 pounds!!!

Please feel free to log me as "discovered" if you find me and can't move me. Only log me as "found" if you help transport me to an event or another cache. Either way, sign me if you'd like. If possible, I'd love to be in photos with other milestone markers. As always, enjoy the adventure!

Found it after finding Anniversary Cache. Never seen anything like it, except for the tip sticking out of the ground. Didn't even consider trying to move it.
    Thanks for the fun.

Maybe not as brutal as GOJIM, But, you have to admit, I had to laugh, and Mrs. Sherlock Holmes suddenly blurted out 'Oh My Gog, It's a travel bug!", and we saw this thing standing next to a tree. I instantly knew what it was.. Was worth a good laugh, seeing that yep, that sucker is real.

Practically tripped over it! If I could, I'd like to drop it on another Miles Stone who created this evil multi called "The Well..." that I've been spending so much time on. 🙂

Found this while searching for Anniversary Cache. I guess you could say it 'stuck out like a sore thumb'. Having worked on a survey party for several years, I never pass up an opportunity to study property markers, merestones and milemarkers. So, I spotted this right away, probably, because I've never seen one that wasn't planted firmly in the ground. Great idea. And, congratz to folks who have moved it. I tried to heft it too, but no luck. Hope some one (but, probably at least two or more) will move it along. But, they had better park in the nearby parking lot. Thanks. Canuman. Visiting from SC, but formerly from Manchester and other nearby CT towns.

Saw this at the Anniversary Cache. I tried to pick it up, but there was no way I could have carried it across the parking lot and to the car. Oh well. Still a neat discovery.
