Current Goal

I want to meet cachers with strong backs willing to move me. One day I hope to meet my long-lost brother, Milestone Marker I.

About This Item

Rescued from the side of a stream, Miles Stone has set me free to meet other cachers. You'll need to come prepared to haul me away because I'm four feet tall and weigh in at a hefty 197 pounds!!!

Please feel free to log me as "discovered" if you find me and can't move me. Only log me as "found" if you help transport me to an event or another cache. Either way, sign me if you'd like. If possible, I'd love to be in photos with other milestone markers. As always, enjoy the adventure!

    Had seen this TB at the Picnic In Peekskill in 2011. Became interested in it just recently due to an email from the owner. Just wanted to say that I was looking for the "Like" button when I saw its latest placement in a cache 😉. Highly recommended cache too!!

    It's true, I've been holding this trackable hostage for 1 year 3 months and 9 days attempting to discover it's secret powers. Things I've learned about this trackable during that time:

    Pros: This trackable works very well for plugging gopher holes, holding beer cans, bollard/road block, door stop, counterweight, hitching post. Trackable also works well as home gym substitute.

    Cons: This trackable is terrible at baby sitting, coversation and cuddling.

    Special powers found to date: none

    Things future retrievers should know: This travel bug makes derogatory comments at inappropriate times. This travel bug decreases gas mileage by ~2 MPG. This travel bug insists on riding shotgun.

    I plan to drop this TB in the next 7-10 days. Some unsuspecting tricker treater will surely be not so pleasantly surprised to find 110 lbs of travel bug dumped into their candy bag!!!

    Great news! After a state-wide bug hunt, Milestone Marker II has been found!!!

    He has been peacefully resting in a cacher's backyard and will hopefully soon be on the road again. Thanks to all the Lower Hudson cachers that helped locate him so quickly. You guys rock!!!

    PS: he may need some help moving it....
