"Bartje is a local tradition in Drenthe, The Netherlands.
Let Bartje meet other local traditions all over the world!
Please take and post a picture of Bartje in his new environment"
Please post pictures of your find/drop!!!

Well, it was a real pleasure finding a TB from the Netherlands here in Northern Illinois, as I recently picked up a TB here in Illinois and took it with me to India, where it was picked up a few days later and taken to the Netherlands! This feels a bit like a cultural exchange program!

Dutch is the language of the Netherlands. Here is a rough translation of the Dutch in this travelbug description. I am not a translator and apologize for any butchering I made of it!
Every cache has something special. There is the folklore and being in contact with beautiful surroundings. Please post a photograph of yourself finding the travelbug or the travelbug in its current location and have success on your trip!
About this item: The famous son of a Drentse farmer worker from the 1920s, Albert Bartels and his wife Jaanke had many children. Each year they had more and more children. The newborn would always sleep with the father and mother in their box bed but each year they would somehow find the means to furnish each older child their own bed. Even though they are making ends meet, because of the crowding and chores, the father grumbles often and the mother can be more short-tempered than she would wish so Bartje appreciates quiet time spent in nature alone.
