Current Goal

To stay with my new family and get my picture taken with all the TBs and Geocoins we encounter. I would also like to meet other cachers. My ultimate goal is to finally meet and get a picture with one of my fellow agents.(GSA coins)

About This Item

GSA coin

I am a GSA coin #145 that was found and adopted on March 14. My family gave me a travel bug tag so I'm now trackable. Now I can be shared and discovered by other cachers we meet. I am excited to see and meet other people and trackables. I have lived a life full of secrets for so long. I'm ready to retire from being a secret agent #145 coin and explore places with my new friend and safe house provider, Dardevle. I would also like to be called "The Dark Man". But my family said nope, GSA coin it is then. Living with my new friend, Dardevle, and Being a secret agent "coin" has taught me one thing,"ALWAYS check your shirt after blowing your nose and always treat others the way you would like to be treated." Because what goes around comes around!!

Please check out the Gallery of pictures Dardevle has taken of me. I am not camera shy. Plus it is part of my therapy. The more "civilians" I enteract with the easier it is for me to adjust to life as a civilian and not a secret agent. I am doing good and life is great. I am not sure I like this -35 degree weather in the winter months but I am well taken care of and I have Dardevle pretty well trained now. Notice how I do most of the talking? Yep, I am that good. Years of special training will do that.

Made it back home tonight at 11:30 pm after a long but fun day out and about with Dardevle and family. We showed up at the Metrodome at 3:00pm, gates opened at 4:00PM, game started at 6:10pm and finally we left the Dome at 10:13pm. The Twins may have lost but it was a great game and can not wait till' we get to go to another game as a family.

Today was a fun day. I got a bunch of pictures of me at the game and in the outdoor pavilion. Even though the Twins lost today it was a fun game to watch. It went into the 13th inning. Savannah got a baseball from Matt Stairs. All in all it was an excellent day out and about.

Going down to a Minnesota Twins game today. It will be nice to go down there with my new family. The little girl named Savannah is especially nice and cute. There is a cache down close to or in the Metrodome so I'll get my picture taken by it so I can prove I was there. Maybe Dardevle will take my picture while I am watching the Baseball game.

"Another show of the support and giving that the Geocoin Secret Agent has done. With the help of other cachers money is raised to help out this family. What beautiful hearts these people have." ( Dardevle )

Cystic Fibrosis is an incurable disease which usually begins in infancy, is potentially fatal and affects multiple body systems such as lungs, pancreas, skeleton and skin. Some of the many symptoms of C F include bronchitis, pneumonia, respiratory failure, diabetes, nutritional deficiencies, and failure to thrive. Therapy is individualized and carefully monitored and will need to be continued throughout life.

For any parent, it would be devastating to learn that your child has this incurable disease, but the family we have designed this coin for has had twice the amount of devastation and heartbreak as two of their children have been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.

The first born, Kaitlyn, age 13, was born 8 weeks early weighing 4lbs. 4oz. and required surgery on her first day of life, diagnosed with (Meconium illeus) a bowel obstruction. She was diagnosed with CF during her 1 month stay at Valley Children’s Hospital. Until she finally stabilized at age 3, she required numerous hospitalizations due to pneumonia and failure to thrive. At 8 years old, she required a gastrostomy tube (a feeding tube in her abdomen) to maintain her weight. In the last 1 ½ years her health has declined and hospitalizations became more frequent. At this time, she is in the hospital due to respiratory difficulty and in need of a lung transplant in the very near future.

The family’s worst fears were confirmed 1 ½ years after Kaitlyn’s birth when doctors performed an amniocentisis on Jill (Kaitlyn’s mother) and diagnosed Kaitlyn’s baby brother (Jerrod) with CF before he was born. Jerrod required frequent hospitalizations during infancy and by the age of 7, his lungs were failing. Jerrod was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and was given a successful lung transplant. At that time Jerrod was one of the youngest people ever to survive a successful lung transplant.

All of the profits from the sales of these Geocoin Secret Agent coins and other coins will be given to this family to assist in paying for Kaityln’s lung transplant. A number of wonderful people have also donated coins, which will be included in the GSA auctions and auctioned off seperately. Please watch my auctions over the entire month of April as I will continuously be auctioning off geocoins.
