Noticed this coin in a previously found cache close to home; had a couple of other coins to move along, so we figured Johnathon's coin could join us for our day of fun as we celebrated our 9th Anniversary! We toured and geocached around Hermann Park in Southwest Houston, TX; our intent was to find a willow tree under which to hide a micro since Willow is the traditional 9th Anniversary gift. We didn't have any luck finding a willow tree, but once we got over to the park, we realized it's where we spent much of our first date back on June 1, 1996. We had fun showing Johnathon's coin around!

  • Houston's Natural Science Museum
  • Hermann Park Train The trains had stopped operating by the time we got over to them just after 6pm. The train is a miniature train for kids to ride around the outside edge of the park; a nice way for parents to catch a break (grin).

We swapped this coin with a NJ Coin and will get it moving soon. These are really cool coins. We were surprised to see one of these silver ones in the wild. They're quite a treat!

This is a beautiful monument to our Armed Forces in a little town of just a few hundred people. After getting the info to log this cache we found a little cafe around the corner and had the best hamburger ever.
