Sad to see another YJTB disappear into the hands of a geocacher. Got_4by4 asked why so many people were watching this one and when QHCoyote express my feelings on 4x4's actions, and probably others, it seems 4x4 has disappeared from the game. No new caches found since the end of February, but his last logon to GC.com was in May so they are still around.

Got_4by4, please, if you are not going to cache, please let the bug go. Pass it off to another cacher or make a quick trip to a past cache and drop it off. Don't make this a personal travel bug. You have had it for over 7 months now. Please release it.

Here's a friendly note. I have been watching this cute little Yellow Jeep in its travels since shortly after it came to California from Florida in November of 2004. The bulk of its mileage was obviously from that move. I was finally able to capture it b in July of 2005 when it came within range. I promptly passed it to other cachers by leaving it in a different cache soon after, but this little guy had lit a fire of Jeep-Seeking within me that is to this day still burning! (Check my trackables tab in my profile). Since Got_4x4 has made this YJTB his personal project in the last 4 months it has increased 256 miles (about 10%) and met zero (0) new geocachers. He has fulfilled only half of the Current Goal stated at the top of this page by the OWNER, and this is NOT likely to change, judging from his last log. I personally believe that Travel Bugs of ALL kinds wish to be moved among geocachers as well as geocaches. I hope this log helps to further understand one of the many facets of this, our sport.

I was just curious why there could be 10 people watching this jeep?? I hope that you are enjoying the trip! I intend to log at least 100 such entries from my 200 to 300th finds. I don't know how interesting it will be but I want to see how many miles I can rack up. If you have any comments, please drop a note!

Had to take a nice drive down south before the rains started. I will probably be back down this way to hunt mushrooms soon. Been waiting on this wet weather too long now. What a great event! And a whole lot of people! Wow!
