Recently Spotted: In Cape Town TB Hotel

Current GOAL: This is a very special TB for me. A few years ago I visited South Africa. Myself & my uncle stayed in the guesthouse “De Bakke” in Mosselbay. We had a wonderful time ther. So this is the mission : Let this TB travel to Mosselbay in South Africa. Take this TB to Louis (the owner of The Bakke). Give him this flag of our home town. Than ask to switch the TB to a flag of South Africa & let this TB travel as quick as possible back to our home coordinates !!! You find a photo of the guesthouse … GOOD LUCK ! Please : This package is sealed. Iside their is an envelop specially for the owner of De Bakke Guesthouse. DO NOT OPEN IT. Take it to the guesthouse & let him open it !!! Thanks in advance ...

Drove through to Mossel Bay today and found the guest house without too much trouble. Unfortunately, there was no-one there. We eventually got hold of Louis by telephone, to find out that his daughter took over managing the guest house from him at the beginning of the year. After picking up a cache or three, we headed to his house in Hartenbos, and successfully dropped off the flag and letter! He didn't have a South African flag at hand, but will be dropping one off this coming week. We'll place the TB (with its new flag and some new instructions) back into the TB Hotel in Cape Town as soon as possible after we get back to Stellenbosch. (Could you guys send me an e-mail again? I seem to have lost your email address and I'd like to send you one or two hi-res photos).

I'm guessing The Cad forgot to log this one. Picked it up from "Water is Life!!" (GCVEA3) because, as luck would have it, we're heading off to George next week for a bit of a holiday. Will stop over in Mossel Bay to help this TB reach its goal! :)

I returned to the TB hotel, found the dog tags that were not attached to the flag. Firmly affixed them to it and dropped it at Waters edge for its onward travel. Writing this now in the cold climes of London!! Good luck on its travel.

recovered this TB without a dog tag. contected the owner for a number then retrurned to the TB Hotel and found the tags which had become detached from package...Now re united and ready for on ward travel.
