After encountering thugs and being left stranded in the woods for who knows exactly how long, the driver of this TB, in true "MacGyver-style," located and fixed up an old firetruck he spotted in the woods nearby - then set off to try to complete his mission... We waved good-bye as he drove off into the sunset. Good luck, firetruck! May you make Colorado in a month...

  • Joe spies his ticket out of the woods. After coming to, Joe took his bearings and knew he needed a way to try to finish his race. He spied an old truck. Could he fix it up and get it to run again? Of course he can! Joe's a survivor!
  • Ready to roll. After a few eggs in the radiator, bubble gum patches to the tires, left over cooking oil (from campers nearby) for diesel fuel, and hot wiring the ignition, he knew it was good to go!

Sorry to report that this bug has been muggled - most likely by kids of some sort. The dog tag, laminated explanation tag, and chain were all separate and loose in the cache - no actual "bug" in sight - nor was the other TB there that was just left by the last cacher who logged in the book. I have the tag(s) and chain... let me know what you'd like done with them... We have cars we can place on it and upload a different pic, but I don't think we have any "bug" cars (VW). I could also mail them back to you...
