How do Trackable Items work?

Recently Spotted: In the hands of Birchie

Current GOAL: To travel the world far and wide. Students at Frey Elementary School in Acworth, Georgia will check the bug to see where it has gone!

About this item:
This travelbug was released on October 7, 2008 at "DF Back Meadow Trail (GCPEYW)". I had the honor of teaching Mr. Jordan's 4th grade class about Geocaching. Frey Elementary school is the entry point for some wonderful nature trails, and along these trails are 7 Geocaches. We took the students to one and dropped off their bug. They are excited to see where in the world their bug will end up!

I found this in Lake George Battle field park on the south side of Lake George, often called "The Queen of American Lakes." We have retired here as it truly is a magnificent Lake for swimming, boating and hiking. It was fun to see that this was started by a 4th-grade class in Georgia. My 6-yr-old grandson helped me find it, and he is in 2nd grade at Lake George Elementary School. We will move it on as soon as possible. Best wishes from Lake George to all you 4th graders. TFTC.

Left this in the shadow of Fort William Henry on Lake George in New York. This is the site of the Battle of Fort William Henry in 1757, made famous in "The Last of the Mohicans".

We'll move this one on a few more miles. This was retrieved from a very spooky wooded beach at nightfall. The beach is supposedly haunted by Blackbeard's ghost. Blackbeard's final battle with the Royal Navy was just off shore.

This GA bug had been at GCAB2B. Rumor has that it may reappear slightly to the west.

Looks like the bug saw the capital city. My 7 and 5 year old moved it a bit to give it a change of scenery.
