About This Item

AMTG South Carolina 2006 Misty Gold GC 1

Mid size coin with heft. Unusual shape. This coin has lots of enamel work. The 3-D is limited to edge work and is simple. The shiny metal colors are the same design but have raised edge work. The front show the state tree, flower and bird. The reverse shows a beach scene with a lighthouse. It says "Smiling Faces Beautiful Faces". Available in other metal colors. 2006. A very nice state coin. ----------------------------------------------So many of my trackables have gone muggled that I only release my GCs as virtuals. If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands. Thanks  NR

Discovered It 1/5/2024 CRVonFange discovered it Cataluña, Spain   Visit Log

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.

Dropped Off 12/20/2023 Claviceps placed it in La Pleta dels Vaquers Cataluña, Spain - 3.34 miles  Visit Log

Quin lloc millor que aquest, amb unes bones vistes del mar i de Castelldefels, per esperar al següent jugador que em farà continuar el viatge? Molta sort!

What better place to rest for a bit like this one, with great views of the sea and Castelldefels? I hope someone takes you soon enough to new adventures. Good luck!

Visited 12/4/2023 Claviceps took it to A piece of Canada in Spain. Cataluña, Spain - 8.53 miles  Visit Log

We are at the top of the Falconera cliffs in the Garraf coast. From here you can see the little village of Garraf, the cliffs by the sea and also the Celler Güell, the modernist winery made for the same man that payed for the Parc Güell

Visited 11/27/2023 Claviceps took it to SANT RAMON POR VILADECANS Cataluña, Spain - 4.47 miles  Visit Log

The chapel of Sant Ramon stands at the top of the mountain of the same name, very visible from many kilometres around. It is a popular climb for the inhabitants of neighbouring towns. The views of Barcelona and the Llobregat river delta are just great

Visited 11/21/2023 Claviceps took it to Paseo por Castelldefels Cataluña, Spain - 11.33 miles  Visit Log

Taking a nice stroll through Castelldefels, a town by the Mediterranean sea. Thanks to the cache you get to know many of its landmarks: its medieval castle and defense towers, old farms and the beach

Visited 11/18/2023 Claviceps took it to Ara i abans del Papiol Cataluña, Spain - 9.2 miles  Visit Log

El Papiol is a nice town close to the Llobregat river that has a great medieval castle. Thanks to the cache we learnt how its streets looked like 100 years ago

Visited 11/17/2023 Claviceps took it to Coves del Salnitre / Salnitre Caves Cataluña, Spain - 19.01 miles  Visit Log

Montserrat is probably the most significant mountain range in Catalonia due to its cultural and symbolic nature for the catalan people, known for its benedictine abbey and its multi-peaked silhouette. And it has many caves, like the Salnitre Caves, that used to be exploited for its high concentration in nitre.

Visited 11/12/2023 Claviceps took it to Castell Eramprunya Cataluña, Spain - 6.18 miles  Visit Log

Sitting atop dramatic red cliffs, the ruins of the Eramprunyà castle still tower above the surrounding towns, which used to be under control of the Eramprunyà baron. This fortress was built in the 10th century when this land was the frontier between the Carolingian empire and the muslim Al-Andalus. You can still see today the old church, the palace and the antropomorphic tombs carved directly in the rock
