About this item:
Stats Bar for WVAnglerWVAngler was interviewed on Cache-A-Maniacs show 131. Listen to our interview with WVAngler of West Virginia. He started caching with a Magellan 310. He's caching now with the DeLorme PN-20 and TomTom One. He's looking forward to trying the Garmin Oregon 550. He uses the iPod Nano with cache information loaded through GSAK to suppliment the paperless info in the field. He ran into a bobcat attempting a 5/5 cache in the Pinnacle Rock State Park. His favorite caching location so far has been Colorado. He'd like to try caching in the Sierra Nevada region of California, in the Patagonia region, New Zealand, and Seattle. His favorite hides have been based on the "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie, and The West Virginia County Challenge (GC1QWJF). As for his taste in movies, "Monty Python," "A Mighty Wind," "Napolean Dynamite," and "This is Spinal Tap"

Took out of the event cache and brought it with me on a hike into the Dolly Sods Wilderness. I made it 5 miles in, found a cache and then pitched camp in one of the most wild and scenic areas in the Eastern USA. The next morning I found another cache - where I'll dip the coin - then the skies opened up and drenched me like nobody's business. I was hiking/backpacking by myself so I opted to trek back out of the wilderness instead of going the extra 15 miles to sweep up the rest of the caches in there...there's always another weekend.

Discovered this one at the Sojourn in the Sods event. Wonderful mountain sweep of awesome caches was drowned out by torrents of rain coming in waves every hour or so, but we did manage to get in three repeat caches and one new one with WVAngler before the great deluge was in full force. Mother Nature did, in fact, rain on our parade, leaving the opportunity for more awesome hiking on another trip.

I got the coin today in the mail and will release it into one of my favorite caches soon. Hope this coin keeps going strong and raises awareness about the Cache-A-Maniacs podcast throughout the region and the world. If anyone grabs this coin and is wondering, there are many great weekly and monthly podcasts on geocaching...it's all free too. The great guys and gals like DarrylW4 and Firefly03 put in a lot of time and effort to bring great free podcasts to us geocachers. You don't have to have an ipod to listen, but it sure makes for great listening on the road while out driving around doing your geocaching. It is like talk radio for geocachers!!!

Before I release the coin I will take it for a few caching adventures and post some photos with the coin...just to give everyone a taste of West By God Virginia Geocaching! Country Roads Take Me Home...
